I am a lifelong musician with a deep-rooted passion for Celtic music and its traditions. I began playing the Great Highland bagpipes at age 12 and, within seven years, achieved the rank of Open Grade professional-the highest level of competitive piping in the United States. In 2020, I earned a Master’s Degree in Scottish Music and Bagpipe Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, building on my undergraduate degree in Jazz Drum Kit from Western Connecticut State University.

My musical pursuits extend well beyond the highland pipes and include uilleann pipes, border pipes, Irish flute and whistles, organ, guitar, and piano. This broad instrumental background allows me to move fluidly between and across musical genres. 

While studying in Scotland, I had the honor of joining the 16-time World Pipe Band Champions, Grade 1 Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band. I am also the co-founder of the internationally touring Celtic fusion band Mactalla Mor. With MacTalla Mor, I have headlined at venues such as Caesars Palace Las Vegas, Pete Seeger’s Clearwater Festival, ESPN Studios, and numerous renowned concert halls, and have recorded and released four studio albums.

I have been fortunate to study under many of Scotland’s most respected piping masters, including Finlay MacDonald, Willie McCallum, Ross Ainslie, George Bell, and Tommy Shearer. My work on the uilleann pipes was shaped through study with Jarlath Henderson.

In addition to performing and recording, I am deeply committed to music education. I teach privately at Wesleyan University and Choate-Rosemary Hall, and I serve as Music Director at the First Congregational Church of Washington, Connecticut. I maintain a private teaching studio in Connecticut and offer both in-person lessons and virtual instruction worldwide.

As a performer, educator, and recording artist, I strive to honor tradition while inspiring creativity and musical growth in every setting.
